== Minutes WSMO telecon, Wednesday, 9 January Participants: Emilia, Flavio, Jacek, Adrian, Mateo, Titi, Michael, Tomas, Dieter * WSMO WG status: due to the delays in delivering infrastructure for the new CMS WG, the WSMO WG carries on till the end of January. * deliverables, discussions: D11 - WSMO-Lite - the deliverable submitted on 21 December - Section 2: NFP - they are not only details about service implementation, how about e.g. price? The wording should be reworked. - Section 3: WSMO-Lite and REST (page 8, point 4) - does not seem to be necessary -> should be a note in the conclusion - Section 4: operation discovery and service discovery - does not seem to be appropriate distinction, we should explain in general between the service task and operation task - Section 4: The annotation rules should be presented wrt usage scenarios otherwise they do not make much sense, possibly reorder the rules and usage descriptions (section 5) - Next version by 1st February D28.4 - meta-data model for NFP - not clear why it is necessary to change WSMO specifications in order to incorporate NF descriptions. WSMO is extensible so extensions should be considered at the first place - Changes in WSMO model would mean to reopen the WSMO core deliverables or relevant WSML deliverables - Ioan or possibly someone from Ontotex should look at the D28.4 and make a statement about and how this would affect WSMO/WSML specs. - next step: discussion how to incorporate results of D28.4 in WSMO - new version: beginning of March * presentation - SA-REST (Tomas Vitvar). - Discussion: SA-REST applied to REST is an analogous approach to SAWSDL applied to WSDL. - SA-REST does not consider any semantic model but only cares about annotations for HTML description of REST embeded in HTML using RDFa/GRDDL. - Some confusions about semantics of SA-REST predicates, e.g. sarest:operation and sarest:action? operation seems to be a pointer to category (which is actually a functional description of the service using classifications) - this work should become the basis for microWSMO - annotation mechanism for RESTful services, microWSMO should try to build on top of SA-REST if possible. - We should coordinate this with Amit Sheth and his group in SWS Testbed XG.
