Organizational issues

• next meeting: 2004-02-26, 11.00 - 13.00 and 16.00 - 18.00 (Galway time),

• in general we'll schedule 13.00 – 16.00 (Galway time) plus hour overlap
• native English proofreader: our people would have to register as a company first, but we have local services in Ireland that do this, Chris will have results next week.

Technical issues

• Chatting:

  • Innsbruck cannot connect well to IRC
  • requirements: provide a log, working in Innsbruck and Galway (with around 100 concurrent users), restricted access, be able to see history.
  • Gerold synchronizes with Brian Ensor, next meeting we'll have a running system

• Minutes:

  • minutes will be in W3C style, both in XHTML and PDF version

• Website:

  • Geri suggested server setup and proper configuration, restricted writing access to website is possible, Gerold will have it implemented in 11 days

• URI

  • wsmo.org has been purchased, will be working soon

• CVS:

  • we need to restrict access of users to parts of the CVS repository
  • therefore we need centralized user management
  • until then, Holger will implement this restricted access to the CVS server on a need-to-have basis
  • mail notification has been setup

• Shared desktop

  • Uwe and Eyal tried shared desktop, works good
• XHTML 1.1 will be used for every deliverable

• Tool to use for writing deliverables:

  • Eyal sent document around outlining options
  • Uwe and Eyal evaluate options
  • we need to be able to import XHTML, can Framemaker do this?

Other issues

• Subsumption:

  • if concept A is subsumed by concept B then it's instances form a subset of the instances of B, it has at least the same attributes as B, and has at least the same restrictions on the attribute values of B.
  • the direction of subsumption relation between rectangle and square is a modeling decision

IRS-II

Titi: installed client, played around

• Open University is interested in cooperation
• Open University requested XML / RDF syntax, so they can write import module
• Open University will (at some point in time, most likely in March) be invited to come to Innsbruck/Galway

Deliverables participation

• General:

  •  Can be produced by printing HTML pages with a PDF printer into a file.
  • watch PDF output (e.g. page numbers primer not in German)
  • acknowledgment section should include all authors
  • everybody who writes a deliverable should also update the acknowledgment section according to D2 v0.1 (includes additional projects)
  • put document title also in HTML header
  • next Tuesday (2004-02-24) Galway will give update on activity sheet

• D2:

  • v0.1 is final now

• D3: new deadline 2004-02-29

  • D3.1: should have version number (in URL and in title)

• D4:

  • Reassignement of responsibilities for subdeliverables
  • D4.1 v0.1 will be delivered at 2004-02-28

• D5:

  • Flora cannot do goal-capabilities matching
  • will implement translation to FOL, and use existing FOL reasoners
  • will take at least 10-14 days
  • this Monday (2004-02-23) first deliverable that describes possible approaches, (dis)advantages, and explains decision.
  • Finally there will be a suite of different reasoning tools for various reasoning tasks. No uniform logical calculus expected.
